list. If you have a warning, forward to administrator for research.
Chain mail is illegal through the post and shortly through email.
Enough said. No oneís address that is posted

YES if someone asks a question, please post to the

share the wisdom
YES thank you-s and welcome to new members are very appropriate
YES people who own businesses, feel free to advertise. ***
*** We ask that advertising be kept to a minimum.
You may only
advertise on the first day of each month. You are only allowed one
advertisement. No prices may be posted. If you have a web page, please
keep your advertising to a simple statement of "new items available" and
your web page address. If you do not have a web page, please post your
email and request private responses. If you own a business, without a
web page, please make sure you post the location of your business, so
people who are not in your area may delete.
This service is provided to allow members access to
information that may not be otherwise available. This is a not a SALES
FORUM! Administration reserves the right to prohibit advertising if it
becomes a problem. A sales notice page that is attached to the list
would be an option.
Individual members who have something for sale may
state the item and
ask for private responses. Remember, this is not a yard sale. Again,
no prices are to be listed.
If the above guidelines are not adhered to, the administration
the right to stop any member from advertising. First infraction would
be a 90 day hold on advertising. Second infraction would be a permanent
hold on any advertising. This would also include advertising or mention
of your business through another list member. Any list member who is
involved in "back door" advertising would be automatically suspended from
the list. Any member advertising after suspension of privileges would be
suspended from the list.
Swaps do not need to be cleared through administration.
You should post
to the list at least twice asking if a particular swap is in process or
has been done in the past and get feedback from other hostesses. Swaps
should be run with efficiency and the understanding that life gets in
the way and people can make a promise today that must be broken
tomorrow. Courtesy posts to the swap hostess are expected. Keep your
swap alive by posting to the list with humor and excitement.
Ongoing functions of this list, i.e. birthday groups,
Secret Pal, block
of the month, should be registered with administration. Just to know
what is going on and who to contact. This list of ongoing functions
will be emailed to new members upon subscribing with your email and
If you have any problem with administration or a list
direct your issue to administration or that member privately to discuss
the problem rationally, calmly and politely. If you need to vent steam,
please do so to the administrator not the list. Personal contact will
be made to discuss the problem.
Signature lines are your domain, however, please consider
opinions and feelings.
Posting an issue-related signature line may not be
Signature lines are fun, so enjoy. Please also consider the time it
takes to download really, really big signature lines with pictures.
I will try my best to handle this list with delicacy, diplomacy and
tact. I will make mistakes and I hope everyone has the decency to allow
me that. Please be polite when you point out my mistakes. I will
sheepishly pout in private and get on with life.
If youíve gotten this far, WELCOME to the SunShine
Guild on the Net. We
are brand new and have a brand new list server. There may be bugs to
work out, please be patient. These guidelines are very relaxed because
that is how I feel this list should be.
Have fun and enjoy. Consider us your friends.
(updated July 15, 1997)
Our ongoing Guild project is the SunShine Quilts. We have an
international membership and this project reflects that flavor. Our
SunShine is spread to war-torn areas and orphanages around the world.
Local disasters are responded to promptly and efficiently by local
people. The misery and suffering of our world-wide neighbors are the
focus of this project. This project is linked to many other sites on
the net and off.
For more information, please contact any committee member:
This is a bi-annual project with sign ups in June and
November of each year. Everyone who wishes to join in contacts the
coordinator when announced. You will be placed in the pool, names will
be drawn and you will be assigned your Secret Elf to play Santa to! No
forms to fill out! We have Christmas in July and December! This is an
important project. If you sign up, you must follow through .
(coordinator to be announced)
Nine-Patch Mommy & Grammy Club
This is fun! When notified of new Momís and Grammyís,
an announcement is posted to the guild. Anyone
interested in doing so, may send a card and a nine-patch block to the
new Mom or Grammy! Nine patch blocks are 9 1/2" unfinished. Design
sequence is: unbleached muslin/color/unbleached muslin (row 1);
color/unbleached muslin/color (row 2); unbleached
muslin/color/unbleached muslin (row 3). Uniformity will allow
recipients greater layout options. Make up a large batch and just put
them in envelopes all ready to go with your name and email address on
the labels! (coordinator to be announced)
Swaps (see guidelines):
Block of the Month
Just like a real guild! A coordinator or team will design a series
of twelve simple blocks. The block patterns will be
readily available and not require sending of patterns. Simple
directions may be emailed. Because these are designed in advance, a
coordinating factor can be established when the project begins. You can
come in up through the 6th month and pick up back block instructions.
Enrollment in the current block of the month project will close on the
7th month of the project. In the 7th month of the original project, a
second team will coordinate. These teams will be numerically
designated. There will always be two teams in place each year. This is
a great for the beginner! Also a great opportunity to help with the
SunShine Quilt effort by donating extra blocks! Guidelines will be
completed at a later date. (team/coordinators to be announced)
Other programs will be explained and added as they
are formed. Send
your ideas to the administrator.
